About Our Doctor

Dr. Laura McAuley is the foundation of this practice. Being a daughter of a dentist, she has been a lifelong champion of preventative dentistry. Her love of children and her passion for dentistry is the driving force that powers her desire to create a lifetime of healthy habits for the children she meets. Although some call her "Dr. McAuley", many of her little friends call her "Dr. Laura".

Dr. McAuley went to college at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill (Go Tarheels!), where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Science Education. During her two years of teaching high school biology, physics, and anatomy in Winston-Salem, NC, she not only spent her extra time as a cheerleading coach but also, met the love of her life, Earle.

Although Dr. McAuley had a love for teaching, she once again became a student to pursue dentistry at the UNC School of Dentistry. During her time in dental school, she was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (a dental honor fraternity), as well as, served in the community by helping manage the Student Health Action Coalition (SHAC) clinic to provide free dental services to local, underserved individuals and was the "prosecutor" for the student run dental honor board. After dental school, Dr. McAuley completed her pediatric residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. This is also where her oldest daughter was born.

In 2000, Dr. McAuley and her family moved to beautiful Pensacola, where she could enjoy the beach life and the company of her extended family. Since moving back to Florida, she has had three more children and dedicated her life to supporting not only her children but children everywhere. Dr. McAuley is an active member of First United Methodist Church and is involved in many community events such as Give Kids A Smile and Missions of Mercy. She has been on several dental mission trips to serve in Peru & Costa Rica and will be in charge of leading the dental mission team on future mission trips.

Dr. McAuley is an avid runner and has competed in the last three double bridge runs (15k). She can easily be found at the soccer fields--three of her children play, and she has been a part of the Northeast YMCA Soccer Program the last three years by sponsoring their uniforms.

Incorporating her love of teaching, her love of children, and a deep commitment to serving the Pensacola community, Dr. McAuley and her team strive to raise children's dental health awareness. Her primary focus is to educate both patient and parents on the importance of early dental care while providing the best patient care possible to every child she encounters.

"Dr. Laura" and her team look forward to seeing your child's smile soon!
